DESCRIPTION: 404 PENETRATING SEALER is a water-based siloxane complexed sealer for use on most types of stone products, where you want to maintain the natural look of the stone, without adding a semi-gloss, or gloss look to the surface. This is great for concrete, brick and other stone products on which you don't want to alter the finish, but need superior water protection. 404 is also a great grout release. Grout release means that when you apply grout around porous stones, you must first apply a product to the surface that will clog the pores, and prevent the grout color from getting into the stone, and discoloring it. If you want to keep the natural look of your stone, and only need water protection, as opposed to stain protection, then this is your product. 404 out-performed all of the other siloxane, and potassium silicate type invisible sealers tested. If you have not used 404 Penetrating Sealer, try some on an un-installed test sample, to see that it provides the look, protection, and any surface characteristics you desire. If you have used 404, but have not used it on the type of substrate you are intending to use it on, then again test it. 404 may slightly lighten, or darken the surface, but will maintain the un-finished look. When you are looking for stain, and water protection; do not use 404. Start with, and finish with our Invisi-Guard Impregnating Sealer. Looking to have a semi-gloss look, then start with, and finish with our 646 Plus Semi-Gloss. Want a very high gloss finish, then start, and finish with 686 Plus Ultra High Gloss. DIRECTIONS: When applying 404,
clean surface well, and let dry completely. Then apply 404 with a brush,
cloth, sprayer, or roller. Work liberally into surface and let dry.
COVERAGE: One gallon of 404 Penetrating Sealer / Grout Release will cover between 150 to 300 square feet, depending on how porous the surface is. This is the amount of sealer we estimate it will take to completely seal a given area, when applied, as per the above directions. LIMITS: Not for use on marble, or granite. Do not use below 55 degrees F. When testing for desired results, be sure to allow 48 hours for curing. CAUTION: Use rubber gloves when
applying. Avoid contact with skin. Prolonged exposure to vapors may be
harmful, or fatal. Use in well ventilated area. In conditions which do
not permit good ventilation; use of a breathing apparatus is recommended.
